Resource Review: Raccoon Rumpus by Educational Insights

As a bilingual clinician, it can be a struggle to find appropriate resources to target goals in Spanish.

Many times, the materials we need do not exist in Spanish. How do we get creative and use what already exists? In this edition of Resource Review, check out an incredibly fun and cute game!

Raccoon Rumpus by Educational Insights

Target goals:

  • Following directions
  • Descriptive language
  • Prepositions
  • Turn-taking
  • Similarities and differences
  • Pronouns and possessives

In this game, everyone has their own raccoon character that needs to get dressed. You choose clothing based on the two dice. One dice determines the clothing item you must choose and the other determines the colors. Of course, there is a wild side and "lose a turn" that you risk on each dice, as well! The person to complete five outfits first wins!

The pros of this game include small box size, low price, versatile for any language, and easy to incorporate a variety of goals in language groups.

Find it and many other games by this incredible company here!
